You can use this form to pre-register models for the Scale Models Expo public competition, which will save you time on the day. You need to fill in and submit the entire form once for each model you plan to enter. You’ll get a confirmation email after we manually check over your entries – this will usually take a few days since we work through them in batches.
The deadline for pre-registration is midnight Wednesday April 18th 2018. If you miss the deadline, you can still save time by downloading and printing entry forms and filling them in at home. We will also have entry forms available to fill out on the day if you don’t have access to a printer.
On the day of the show, bring your models (and completed paper forms if applicable) to the registration desk. Registration opens on Saturday 21st April at 10am and closes at 12 noon sharp.
Rules and eligibility
Anyone can enter a model in the Expo Public Competition, you don’t need to be a member of Scale Models Wellington IPMS to take part. However if a model has previously placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the Expo Public Competition it cannot be entered again this year as that wouldn’t be fair.
By entering a model, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions as set out in the competition rules.
There are various special awards in the Scale Models Expo 2018 competition – please help us out by indicating if your model is eligible for any of these in the notes section. You don’t need to mention best-in-category or best-in-show awards, all entries are automatically eligible for these, as appropriate.
- “Best ANZAC” – the best overall ANZAC subject, sponsored by Wingnut Wings.
This can be any New Zealand or Australian military subject (e.g. aircraft, figures, vehicles, dioramas etc.) provided that it is depicted during the period of the First World War.
